One-day National Webinar and Quiz competition on "Ecosystem Restoration: Challenges and Opportunities for India" was organized on June 5, 2021. Prof. P.S. Verma, Former Chairman, Board of Secondary Education, elaborated on ecosystems and dynamic communities of plants, animals, and microorganisms and their interaction with their physical environment. Prof. T. I. Khan, Former Director, Indira Gandhi Centre for Human Ecology, Environmental and Population Studies, University of Rajasthan, focused on the need for ecosystem restoration in today's world. The keynote speaker Dr. Mrugesh Hemant Kumar Trivedi, Assistant Professor, Environmental Science, K.S.K.V Kachch University, Gujarat focused on resetting our relationship with nature in the world.
International Webinar on "Yoga as a Health & Career Tool"
On the occasion of World Yoga Day - June 21, 2021, an International Webinar on "Yoga as a Health & Career Tool" was organised. Regional Director N.S.S, Shri S.P. Bhatnagar, keynote speaker, Ms. Priya Vyas, Hatha Yoga Acharya at Amber Traditional Hatha Yoga, and Founder Director Zenmei, India China Yoga and Body Alignment School, Fujian China, discussed the importance of yoga in this period of stress and how it can be viewed as a career opportunity. More than 1500 participants across the globe participated in the webinar.
WORKSHOP
- A workshop on "IoT" was organized by department of Computer Science on October 8, 2021. The guest speaker was Ms. Nidhi Gupta from Clover IT Services Pvt. Ltd. Jaipur. The trainer explained to students about basics, needs, and implementation of IoT on the Cloud Platform.
- A workshop on "Business Analytics: Present & Future Prospects" was organized by department of Computer Science on October 16, 2021. The guest speaker was Ms. Richa Singh from Dot Squares Pvt. Ltd. Jaipur. The trainer explained to students about basics and needs of Business Analytics.
- A workshop on "Python & Machine Learning" was organized by department of Computer Science on November 26, 2021. Mr. Ankit Dhir from Habile Labs Pvt. Ltd. Jaipur was the keynote speaker. The trainer explained about basics of Python & Machine Learning, the necessity of Machine Learning in various fields, and the implementation of ML through Python.
- A workshop on Financial Education Awareness for staff members was organized on November 27, 2021. Dr. Girish Goyal, C.A., C.S., was the keynote speaker. The workshop was a part of the Securities Market Awareness Campaign undertaken by SEBI for empowering investors through education. All the staff members participated actively in this program.
- A workshop on New Education Policy 2020 was organized on Feb 5, 2022 by the department of Business Administration. Prof. Kailash Sodhani was the speaker of the session. More than 750 participants from all over the country got benefitted by the lecture.
- Eight days online workshop on "PHP" was organized by the Department of Computer Science from November 26, to December 31, 2021, in association with GTT-Barclays. This workshop helped participants to understand the need for PHP in the current technical scenarios of industries and its daily routine applications.
- Department of Bachelor of Business Administration organised a national workshop on “Digital Marketing” on February 2, 2022, this program helped students to understand the significance of digital marketing in today's era, use of Search Engine Optimisation, keyword planner, email marketing and social media marketing. The chife guest of the prgrame was IAS Siddharth Jain.
One day workshop on "Digital Marketing" was organized on April 4, 2022. The guest speaker was Mr. Vikram Singh (Manager Hr.) from Faberwork, Jaipur. He explained about basics of digital marketing, the need and importance of digital marketing, and its future impact.
- A workshop on "Quality Assurance" was organized on April 6, 2022. Ms. Anupama Chakravarty (Head Hr.) from Amplework, Jaipur was the guest speaker who explained about basics, importance, and future use of Quality Assurance. She cleared all the concepts in detail with real-time examples.
GUEST LECTURES
- A guest lecture cum interaction programme was orgainsed for the students and faculty of Science on January 12, 2022 on the topic 'Indigenous Instrumentation for Cutting Edge Research in India'. The speaker Prof. Desdheep Sahdev, Director Quazar Technologies, New Delhi, and Former Professor of Physics from Cornell University, U.S.A and I.I.T Kanpur discussed many technologies like Scanning Probe Microscope, Scanning Electron Microscope, and Physical Properties Measurement System etc. through which the students and faculty got benefitted.
- A guest lecture on "Metrology for Living Environment" was organized by the department of Physics on February 26, 2022. The invited speaker was Dr. Laxman Singh Rathore, Former D.G, I.M.D. Metrology is the science dealing with atmosphere with a major focus on weather forecasting. The invited speaker talked about techniques of observing weather and prediction of weather and climate
- The Department of E.A.F.M organized a guest lecture on "Career Opportunity in Business Research" by Dr. Vishwas Gupta, Associate Professor, Lovely Professional University, Punjab on August 10, 2021. The objective of the session was to draw the attention of students towards their career and future opportunities in business research.
- A lecture on Export Entrepreneurship was organized by the department of Business Administration on April 25, 2022. The speaker was Sh. J. P. Kanodia, Director of “Business Minds”. He enlightened the students regarding the basics of entrepreneurship and scope in exports.
- An online lecture was organized by the department of Hindi on the occasion of "Hindi Diwas" on September 13, 2021. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Nand Kishore Pandey, Dean Faculty of Arts and Director of Research. Prof. Pandey shed light on the importance of Hindi as our national language and the research and carrier opportunities in Hindi. More than 80 students benefitted from the lecture.
- Sociology and Social Work Department conducted a "Motivational and Career Counselling" session for all students on April 21, 2022. A career counselling session was given by Sh. Prashant Pal, Director, Pure India NGO Jaipur, Rajasthan, Certified Career Counselor. He helped the students identifying their interests, and counseled about their suitable career options.
TRAINING PROGRAME
- An online training program of Barclay's for B.B.A final year students was conducted by Global Talent Track, Pune from November 15-23, 2021. In this program, more than 100 students participated & gained the knowledge of advance Excel & Power Bi.
- STTP (third & fourth phase) on “Character Building through Moral Values and Ethics” was conducted from June 22, 2021 to June 27, 2021.Third phase of STTP was conducted from June 22, 2021 to June 27, 2021 and fourth phase of STTP was organized from July 12, 2021 to July 17, 2021. Various dignitaries from universities, politics and professionals were invited to deliver the lectures. The session was very informative as they showed us the relevance of old Indian Scriptures to the current era. Speakers mentioned teachers as a bouquet of Moral values, so it was concluded that if teachers want to inculcate values among students, first they themselves have to be ethical. Important Features of National Education Policy were also discussed by renowned professors. Again, a bunch of educators and administrators were there to teach the teachers and professionals about the importance of moral values and ethics in today’s life. During this phase, participants were reminded that for professional success, mental peace is important and for mental peace different meditation techniques were practically explained. These phases also focused on the nurturing of morals, values and ethics in the students through an improved science education curriculum, and described their benefits to the society. It had been observed that to inculcate the moral values among students, firstly the teachers have to present themselves as a role model
Educational & Industrial Visits:
- Department of Biotechnology, organized one day educational visit to "Jeevan Mushroom" a mushroom cultivation laboratory and research laboratory situated Dantli village near Jaipur on January 22, 2022 to learn instrumentation, and practical handling, working procedure, bio-safety measure etc. Around 30 students participated in the programme.
- Department of Biotechnology, organized one day educational visit to "Kulish Smriti Van" on Jan 24, 2022. The students studied and identified various types of medicinal plant in various parts of Vasundhara van, Aravali van and Dhanvantari van.
- The Department of Zoology and Environmental Science visited the Nahargarh Biological Park on March 26, 2022. There were around 100 students along with the college faculty to experience its vast and diverse flora and fauna and learn means to conserve and protect them.
- Department of Journalism and Mass Communication organized an industrial visit to Dainik Sandhya Jyoti Darpan Printing Press on March 28, 2022. The students were shown how actually the paper passes from one machine to another, how various colours are integrated. Seeing the various processes involved in the printing of a mundane looking newspaper generated a lot of interest among the students.
- An educational trip to Sambhar Salt Limited was organized by Department of Chemistry on April 1, 2022, as field trips are an excellent way for incorporating knowledge into young minds. Student’s saw the testing of manufactured salt, harvesting of salt by collecting saline water in ponds and wells.
- The Department of Social Work organized a visit to Apna Ghar NGO, on April 13, 2022. The said NGO provides home to mentally challenged people. During the visit the students interacted with the team who look after the mentally challenged people. The visit helped the students understand basic functionality of an NGO at the field level and also provided an opportunity to interact with the managing members of the NGO.
- With an objective of providing students an opportunity to have practical exposure to the theory of business and management taught in classroom, an industrial visit of B.B.A students was organized on April 23, 2022 to R.K Marbles, Ajmer, followed by a visit to Greenland Water Park in Ajmer.
- Department of Journalism and Mass Communication organized an industrial visit to Akashwani Kendra, Jaipur on April 26, 2022. Objective of the visit was to make students aware of territorial transmission, production and broadcasting of the radio programs as well as the structure of the studio and management of radio station. They conducted debate competition in the conference room, recorded and edited voices at the same time.
- On April 28, 2022, Students of the Department of E.A.F.M and Economics visited India's central Reserve Bank of India, Jaipur. In the first session, Mrs Gupta, AGM, RBI briefed about the history and functions of R.B.I, printing of currency and how soiled notes are made into bricks. The second session was held by Mr. Rathore, he detailed on the current trends in the economy and its impact on the banking industry. In the final session, all the students were guided to financial inclusion department where different types of self-service technologies were explained.
Faculty Development Programme
- Under the aegis of Ministry of Education, Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on teachers and teaching scheme, College initiated a two-week online interdisciplinary refresher course on "Advanced Research Methodology: Best practices" was organized by the College from November 27 to December 11, 2021 to enhance the research capacity of faculty members. On the inaugural day, Professor S.P. Agrawal, Principal and Director, T.L.C, Ramanujan College gave the welcome address followed by the address of chief guest Professor Rajiv Jain, Vice Chancellor, University of Rajasthan, and guest of honour, Professor K.B. Sharma, Principal, Subodh College. The refresher course received an overwhelming response from the teaching fraternity from all over the country

National Science Day
National Science Day was celebrated on February 28, 2022, on the theme of Integrated Approach in Science & Technology for Sustainable Future under D.B.T Star Scheme. Chief Guest of the inaugural programme was Dr. Ajay Sharma, Director, Forensic Science Laboratory, Jaipur and the Presiding Guest was Professor P.C. Trivedi, former Vice Chancellor, Jai Narayan Vyas University, Jodhpur. About 350 students from various colleges in and around Jaipur had registered for the event and participated in innovative working models, non-working models, poster exhibition and also took part in Quiz, short film making, and debate competitions. The eminent judges Prof. Seema Shrivastava, Head, Department of Zoology, University of Rajasthan, Prof. V. K. Saxena, Assistant Director CCT, University of Rajasthan, Dr. Anand Jindal, Assistant Director, FSL, Jaipur, and Dr. Narayan Bhoot, Scientific Officer, Rajasthan Pollution Control Board, Jaipur gave their judgments after inspecting each project which reflected innovative ideas, creativity and talent of participants. In the Valedictory session, Chief Guest Shri Pawan Godara, State OBC Finance and Development Commission, Govt. of Rajasthan, addressed the participants and awarded winners of different events with medals, trophies and certificates.
Youth Development Programme on "Personality Development and Interview Skills"
A Three days Youth Development Programme on “Personality Development & Interview Skills “was organized in the college from March 9-11,2022 in collaboration with Rajeev Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Sriperumbudur functional under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India During these 3 days an attempt was made to enhance the personality of the students and make them more confident individuals capable of facing interviews confidently and becoming more employable. Several renowned experts and motivational speakers interacted with the students on varied topics like personality and its relevance in employment, relevance of communication, effective business communication, business etiquette, Corporate Presentation Skills, Resume Building, know-how of job portals, productivity and time management, stress management, Transactional analysis, Optimism, happiness and role of meditation etc. In the valedictory ceremony Principal, Prof K.B. Sharma and Chief guest, Shri Pradeep Borad, an IAS Officer and former Commissioner College Education and presently Consultant, Subodh Shiksha Samiti addressed the students and focused on the importance of personality for enhanced job opportunities in today’s competitive scenario. Dr. Sharmistha Bhattacharjee, an eminent scholar, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Sociology, Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development congratulated the organizing committee for the successful conduction of the programme. Students were awarded certificates on the successful completion of the programme.
COMMFEST – 2022
The first Intra College Competition fest COMMFEST – 2022 was organized by the Commerce Club of the College on March 12, 2022 for the students of commerce stream. The theme for the fest was "Business Incubation and Entrepreneurship". The events organized in the fest were Debate, Poster Making, Quiz Competition and PPT Presentation. 300 students participated with lot of enthusiasm and zeal. In the valedictory function Prof. K B. Sharma, Principal awarded all the winners of various events.
Blood Donation Camp
On March 30, 2022, college organized a blood donation camp, which was inaugurated by Shri Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, Cabinet minister, Food and Supplies department, Government of Rajasthan, and Prof. K.B. Sharma, Principal of the college. Shri Pratap Singh Khachariyawas motivated students with his words that there is no greater charity than donating blood, so everyone should donate blood to save others' lives. More than 350 students including teaching and non-teaching staff donated their blood for social cause.
Vaccination camp
Under the aegis of S.S. Jain Subodh Education Committee, Jaipur, and under the courtesy of the State Government, the college organized a vaccination camp for the prevention of coronavirus on June 22, 2021, the camp was inaugurated by Smt. Archana Sharma, Former Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee member, Jaipur. On this occasion, Honorary Secretary Sh. S.S. Bothra, Vice President; Sh. R.C. Jain, Joint Secretary; Sh. Vinod Lodha, Sh. Sanjeev Kothari, Sh. Alok Kumar Bumb and other members of the committee were present and thanked Smt. Archana Sharma for helping the samiti for this noble cause. More than 500 people above the age of 18 years were vaccinated in this camp. Prof. K.B. Sharma, Principal, said that more and more people will be benefited by the continuous efforts of the committee.
Independence Day
75th Independence was celebrated in the college campus, amidst the challenges of COVID-19 pandemic, speaking on the occasion; Professor K. B. Sharma averred that today we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the independence of the country. India is also going through tough phase due to this pandemic but it can never diminish the feeling of patriotism rising in our hearts. The presence of students and teachers of Subodh in this program showed that they will continue to celebrate Independence Day in the honor of our freedom fighters and the army and soldiers of the country. He inspired the students to always keep their goals high.
Republic Day
College observed the 73rd Republic Day of India on its campus with full enthusiasm and fervour. On this occasion, Professor K. B. Sharma, Principal, hoisted the National Flag and exchanged Republic Day greetings with the gathering. The Principal emphasized on the significance of the three colours and the Chakra that comprise the National Flag. He exhorted the fraternity to imbibe the ideals of the Tricolour with Chakra for the overall progress of the college. He also emphasized that the faculty members, employees, and students of the College need to work hard to accomplish the vision and mission of the College for imparting quality education, conducting cutting-edge research, and skilling and up-skilling students to face the challenges of 21st century life and empowering them to contribute meaningfully towards nation building.
Beat the Covid Campaign
The College in association with Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India organized a 20 days "Beat the Covid Campaign" from June 16 June to July 5, 2021. Under the tough times of Covid pandemic the role of Higher Education, Colleges and Universities should be ensured. With this pious motive, college extended the supportive hands at medical, psychological and moral platforms. Five teams of college students conducted vivid activities like food drive at Trauma centre, mask distribution at Bani Park, Sanjay Circle and Sindhi Camp Police stations. Student volunteers conducted many online sessions and uploaded their videos addressing the psychological disorders during and post Covid phase. Along with this, feeding stray animal, offline awareness drives at different places in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Alwar, Phulera, Patna and Kerala were conducted
An intercollege competition on creative cleanness (best out of waste) and hygiene etiquette poster making was organized on December 18, 2021 under the aegis of Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education. The student displayed their creativity in the form of posters and different articles made from Waste products.
Digital Pan India Awareness Campaign
The college became a part of a Digital Pan India awareness campaign to combat Covid-19. The campaign had been launched to reach out to lakhs of youth through a unique joint collaborative partnership of universities across the country in association with Lok Samvad Sansthan and UNICEF.
Felicitation- cum Farewell program
Felicitation- cum farewell programme was held on October 28, 2021. A warm welcome was accorded to the New Conveners Shri Vinod Lodha, Convener, MCA Institute and Shri Anil Gokhroo, Convener, S.S. Jain Subodh P.G College, with the assurance that the college shall attain new heights under their able leadership and guidance. Former Conveners Shri Rajendra Jain 'Raja' Subodh MCA Institute and Shri V.C Daga, S.S Jain Subodh P.G College were given a heartfelt farewell and were shown gratitude for their stewardship, support and contribution towards the development and growth of the college.
Virtual Debate Competition
An online inter-college virtual Debate Competition was organized on February 3, 2022 on the topic "House believes that democracy in India is facing serious challenges". More than 60 debaters participated in the event. Shri Gaurav Ojha, Allahabad University, bagged the first position by receiving a cash prize along with certificate and trophy. Mr. Ayush Sharma and Ms. Kashish Gupta secured second and third positions by receiving cash prizes, trophy and certificates respectively.
Basant Panchami Celebration
Basant Panchami was celebrated with enthusiasm on February 5, 2022. Amidst the rendition of shlokas in the Saraswati Pujan, blessings of the Goddess were sought for wisdom and prosperity in all dimensions. There was an evident feeling of 'Spring' in the air, with most of the faculty members dressed up in different shades of yellow.
Women's Health awareness programme
The Women's Cell of the College organized a program to sensitize the female faculty and students on various reproductive health and mental health issues in the Women's Health awareness programme held on International Women's Day. Dr. Shweta Gupta, gynecologist from SDMH delivered lecture on various gynecological issues and means of attaining good mental health. A lecture was also delivered by Dr. Geetu Sisodiya, a practicing Psychologist.
E-Baat (Electronic Banking Awareness and training) campaign
e-Baat (Electronic Banking Awareness and training) campaign organized by RBI, Jaipur. A consumer awareness programme was organized by EAFM deptt. in collaboration with Reserve Bank of India, Jaipur in S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. College on 9th March 2022. It was addressed by RBI officials Mr. Anshu Jain and Mr. Rakshit Gondaliya. They spread awareness about different online payment options and cyber security issues with the help of PowerPoint presentation and quiz. Prof. K.B. Sharma, the college principal welcomed the guests and Dr. Chitra Rathore concluded the programme by giving vote of thanks to all.
Talk Show on World Consumer Rights Day
Department of Economics organized a talk show on World Consumer Rights Day on March 15, 2022. In this program, Sh. Samrendra Singh, Additional District Judge; Sh. Vikram Singh Bhati, Secretary, District Legal Service Authority; Advocate Vizzy Agarwal, Member, Rajasthan State Consumer Protection and Redressal Commission; Dr. Sanjula Thanvi, Dean and Head, Department of Law, University of Rajasthan and Ms. Aarti Sharma, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Law, University of Rajasthan were the speakers. All the distinguished speakers shared their views regarding consumer awareness.
Extempore Competition
The "Extempore Competition" was organized by the Department of Chemistry on April 7, 2022 under the aegis of the Science Club. The main aim of this activity was to provide platform for students to express their views on the spot. The zeal and enthusiasm shown by the students was praiseworthy. Around 80 students were registered for this activity. After screening, 40 students were selected for the final competition.
Paramveer Vandan Programme
Paramveer Vandan Programme was conducted in the college premises in collaboration with Hindu Adhyatmik avam Seva Foundation on March 23, 2022 on account of Martyr Day. The keynote speaker of the programme Shri Gunwant Kothari, National President, Hindu Adhyatmik avam Seva Foundation shared his views about the importance of the sacrifice and diligent efforts of our ancestors and patriots which have made India a strong nation worldwide. The presiding guest Shri Navratan Kothari, President, Shri S.S. Jain Subodh Shiksha Samiti glorified about the incredible values of our country and laid emphasis on the motto- “To live and let others live”. The special guest Shri Somkant Sharma, Regional Secretary, Hindu Adhyatmik avam Seva Foundation, narrated various interesting incidents from our martyr's lives and briefed about the role of the revolutionaries and paid tribute to the heroes. Former Soldiers Major General R. S. Shekhawat and Major General Subhash Chandra Pareek were felicitated for their selfless service for the nation. Prof. K. B. Sharma, Principal paid homage to our freedom fighters- Shaheed- e- Azam Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev and saluted their spirit and patriotism. College Convener Shri Anil Kumar Gokhroo Ji also graced the programme. All the guests and students present in the auditorium paid a floral tribute to our Paramveers.
“Jan Samvaad” programme
A “Jan Samvaad” programme on “our role in stopping sexual abuse and misbehavior towards children” was conducted by human rights committee of the college in collaboration with Bhaichara foundation and Kailash Satyarthi children foundation on March 31, 2022. Chief guest Dr. Chandrabhan, Vice President, bisuka in his speech upheld the role of government and NGO’s in putting an end to crime against children. Special guest Dr. Archana Sharma, President, Board of Social Welfare, Government of Rajasthan assured that this discussion will be taken forward to the government level in order to create child friendly environment in Rajasthan. Other special guest Nusrat Naqvi, Member, Rajasthan State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, brought attention to the rising cases under POCSO act. Police officer Sh. Dheeraj Verma focused on the role of police in the cases of child exploitation. Sh. Vikram Singh Bhati from DLSA talked about legal remedies available to the victims of exploitation. Many NGOs from labour department & district administration and around 300 students were among attendees of the program. The objective of the program was to discuss the ill effects of child labour and trafficking. It aimed at creating awareness about education on all the three tiers of government. It was followed by an interactive session where the doubts of audience and students were cleared
“Gorband” programme
On May 2, 2022, Gorband Program was celebrated in college premises and Shri Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, Cabinet minister, Food and Supplies department, Government of Rajasthan, was the chief guest. The program was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by Shri Pratap Singh Khachariyawas; Prof. K.B. Sharma, Principal and Shri Anil Kumar Gokhroo, Convener of the college. The annual fest witnessed huge participation in different activities and more than 1500 student attended the programme. The event was filled with various programs like fashion show, dance performance and singing.
