Department of Physics
Established in 1954 the department was upgraded to Post Graduation in 1997. All
the sanctioned posts of the teachers are filled. Six faculty members have PhD as
their highest degree. Total number of teachers in the department is 15 out of
which 06 are involved in PG classes. Two of the faculty members are working on
Major UGC projects and one minor project is also on going in the department.
Faculty is also guiding research students for PhD and at present 10 PhD scholars
are registered in the department. Non Teaching staff of the department includes
lab assistant, lab technician, lab boy and peons.
One
fully equipped computer laboratory with 30 computers, charts, Five departmental
computers, departmental library with about 1228 books and journals. Department
of Physics also has three research laboratories with latest equipments.
Faculty
members participated in 28 National Level seminars and Conferences held at
different places during last two years. We also organised one national and an
international conference in collaboration with Univ. of Rajasthan, Jaipur.
Department has research collaboration with ISRO, BRNS, CEERI-Pilani, Mohan Lal
Sukhadia University, Udaipur. We have a number of papers in reputed journals and
conferences including international level.

Microwave
Electronics, Compton Profile Studies and Condensed Matter Physics.
Plan
of action of the department for next five years

The department aims to
apply for more major and minor research projects in coming five years.

hold one national and one international conference and workshops related to
the projects it will undertake in coming five years.
