The Department of Physical Education was established in 2005. Number of post sanctioned is three and all are filled. All the members are M.P.Ed and two faculty members are Ph.D holders.

Departmental library is not separate and central library is used for the purpose. Central computer facility is available for all faculty and students. Fully equipped Gymnasium is available for the students and faculty use.  

Faculty members participated in two National Level seminars and Conferences. Dr. Sharad Nimawat. Head of the Department is actively involved in HIV AIDS counselling for youth.

Priority Areas for Research

• Awareness about HIV AIDS among Sports Persons.

• Safety Education for Sports Persons.

Plan of action of the department for next five years

• Department aims to start awareness classes for Health Hygiene and nutrition.

• Department aims to expand awareness program for HIV AIDS and preferably open a counselling centre.

• Establishment of Cricket Academy and Yoga centre.

• Scientific up gradation of gymnasium.

• Development of Boxing Ring.
