National Service Scheme (NSS) Activities

National Service Scheme, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Govt. of India, with the aim of "Not Me But You", reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self-less service. NSS are to raise social consciousness and provide students to actively contribute their services for the cause of community. Every year 3 units (each of 100 students) are allotted to the college.

Session 2018-19 :

  • Subodh College received the National Service Scheme State Level Award 2016-17 under the Institutional Category by Commissionerate College Education, Government of Rajasthan.
  • On the occasion of the World Yoga Day, more than two hundred volunteers of the NSS units of the college participated in the programme organized by college NSS cell in college campus on 21st June, 2018. They also shared message that “improvement is achieved by the ripple effect of a few simple changes in approach, attitude or habit.”
  • The three units of NSS, Subodh College worked together to promote Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. It initiated the cleanliness campaign at Gandhi Nagar Railway Station, Trimurti Circle, Police Memorial.
  • NSS program officer Dr. Kapil Kumar Anand had been chosen as a member of NSS Counseling Committee by College Education Commissionerate, third time continuously.
  • College NSS cell organized three one day campaign on various issues to raise awareness like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao among others.
  • NSS program officer Dr. Kapil Kumar Anand also became member of the NSS State Level Committee 2018, which shall publish a book about the various activities of NSS for the welfare for students.
  • On the occasion of National Unity Day 31st October, 2018. the three units of NSS, Subodh College, conjoined to organize an Oath Taking Ceremony in which all the students, faculty members and ministerial staff were sworn in by Prof. K. B. Sharma, Principal, Subodh College towards National Unity and Integration in Hindi and Assamese language as Assam is Rajasthan State partner under ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ campaign.
  • Lokendra Singh, NSS volunteer of the college represented India in International Youth Exchange Program organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in Russia, 21-29 Oct. 2018
  • A special camp of seven days was organized by NSS at the adopted slum, Durgapura Gaushala from 4th-10th Feb, 2019. During the camp the team spread awareness amidst the citizens on various topics like National Unity Day, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Voter Awareness and Healthy Lifestyle.
  • NSS organized Sadak Suraksha – Jeevan Raksha Campaign at prominent crossroads of Jaipur
  • 10 NSS volunteers from the college and Contingent Leader Dr. Kapil Kumar Anand had represented Rajasthan State in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh where they had to compete with sixteen other states of the country. The National Integration Camp was organized by +2 Council with an objective of inter-state integration to foster the harmony and peace among the volunteers.
  • College NSS cell organized Blood Donation camp on 15th Feb, 2019 in college campus and 319 units of blood were donated.
  • College NSS cell organized International Aahimsa Day on 2nd Oct, 2018.
  • College NSS cell organized International Human Right day on 10th Dec, 2018.
