National Service Scheme (NSS) Activities

National Service Scheme, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Govt. of India, with the aim of "Not Me But You", reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self-less service. NSS are to raise social consciousness and provide students to actively contribute their services for the cause of community. Every year 3 units (each of 100 students) are allotted to the college.

Session 2016-17 :

  • An orientation program and one day camp were organized in the month of October, December and January in the college
  • Seven day camp was organized at Goshala, Durgapura, where volunteers cleared the campus area and showed their efficiency in other given tasks.
  • On the Eve of Independence Day (14th August), a Tiranga Yatra was jointly organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra and NSS which showed enthusiastic participation by college NSS volunteers.
  • To mark the occasion of the World Population Day, 11 July’16- a State Level Programme was organized by National Population Stabilization Fund in association with NSS unit of the Institution. The function was presided over by the Hon'ble Minister of Higher Education- Sh. Kalicharan Saraf. A rally for awareness for the population stabilization was also organized by the NSS volunteers.

Session 2015-16 :

  • International Yoga Day held in SMS Stadium, Jaipur- was attended in significant number by the NSS programme officers and volunteers who pledged to practice Yoga regularly.
  • On 12th Feb 2016, a voluntary blood donation camp was organized in the college by the NSS unit in which about 150 units of blood was collected.
  • A one day cleanliness campaign inspired by the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was also organized to mark the Gandhi Jayanti under which the students were motivated to keep the college and their surrounding clean.
  • College organized Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is on 9 September, 2015. It is not just about cleaning surroundings but also seeking the participation of volunteers in planting tree, creating trash-free environment, and eventually paving way for Swachh Bharat. A Clean India is of utmost importance for promoting the nation as an ideal destination for tourists from across the world.
  • July’15- On 21st July under the guidance of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of India, the Nehru Yuva Kendra- Jaipur and NSS organized a Talent development programme.

Session 2014-15 :

  • NSS volunteers participated in 7 day camp held at Goshala, Durgapura, from January1 to 8, 2015 The major agenda of this camp was social awareness about environment, health, cleanliness, education This Camping Program is to bring youth face to face with the community and make efforts to improve their life. Where the volunteers showed their efficiency in other given tasks.
  • Blood donation campaign is an innovative life saving project for timely availability of blood for emergency obstetric and other cases. With this aim a Blood Donation Camp was organized every year in the college campus where students and faculty members donated their blood. NSS volunteers participated in Blood Donation Camp organized on February 12, 2015 in the college campus.
  • NSS Volunteers took part in college youth week organized on January 12-19, 2015 and also contributed to a Road Safety Programme held on February 5, 2015.
  • NSS organized one day camp on 27 October, 2014 with the social cause, against female feticide and promote girl child education.
  • A rally was organized on the occasion of World Population Day by NSS volunteers which was graced in the presence of Shri Kalaicharan Saraf, Minister of Technical and Higher Education of Rajasthan

Session 2013-14 :

  • NSS organized cancer awareness program on 4th February, 2014 by the renowned doctors of Mahaveer Cancer Hospital and Research Center.
  • On the auspicious occasion of Republic Day Parade, a Republic Camp was organized from January 1st to January 31st, 2014 in New Delhi by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. 10 candidates were selected in pre-R. D. camps from various colleges and universities of Rajasthan.
  • A team of 200 participants along with their team leader Dr. Bharat Pareek got the opportunity and honour to lead the Rajasthan team on the Republic day celebration at New Delhi. Dr. Pareek attended “Pravasi Bhartiya Sammelan” and got the opportunity to meet the President, Vice-President and the Prime Minister of India.
  • Road Safety and Awareness program was organized by the college on 21st January, 2014, in which the NSS volunteers gave their active participation.

Session 2012-13 :

  • An orientation program and one day camp were organized in the month of October, December and January in the college. (2011-12)
  • Seven day camp was organized at Goshala, Durgapura, where volunteers cleared the campus area and showed their efficiency in other given tasks.
  • “Road and Safety and Awareness” Programme was organized for NSS volunteers.
  • Blood Donation camp was also organized by the college in this session.
