Department of Environmental Science
The Department of Environmental Science was
established in 2005 and upgraded to post graduate department in 2009. Number of
post sanctioned is Nine and the seven faculty members hold PhD as their highest
qualification. One has submitted PhD with defence pending.
Fully equipped laboratory with BOD Incubator, COD
Incubator, Noise Level Dosimeters, UV Spectro Photometer, High volume air
sampler, flame photometer and water analysis kit. It also has a departmental
library with 136 books and one departmental computer well as two lap tops.
Faculty member participated in ten National/
International Level Conferences.
Dr Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Head of the Department, is
currently associated with BRNS in a major project. Other than this he works as
an environmental consultant with NGO. He is also working as environmental expert
in Analyst Labs private Ltd in a WHO sponsored project for hospital waste
management. Mayanka Kala is working with an NGO to spread environmental
awareness among slum dwellers. The department has research collaboration with:
