College Educational Tours

Educational tours and visits play an important role in the teaching learning process. The main objective of conducting an educational trip for students is to reinforce experiential and contextual learning and give opportunity to observe a particular environment that facilitates the first-hand experience. Some of the educational visits organized by the college are summarized below.

Session 2019-20

With the idea of giving practical experience to the students of various faculties, following departments organized educational visits
  • On September 26, 2019, a group of 40 students of Psychology and Philosophy Department departed on the educational trip to Udaipur to attend a conference hosted by Department of Psychology, Mohanlal Sukhadia University. The students were escorted by Dr. Suprithy Paliwal and Dr. Vineeta Sharma. Multidisciplinary National Conference on Integrative Approaches for Mental Health & Well Being was a two-day conference on September 27-28, 2019. The aim of the trip was to give students a chance to learn things together in unison and participate by delivering paper presentations in the conference. Dr. Suprithy Paliwal co-chaired a session on alternative therapy and delivered a lecture on the topic “Complementary and Alternative Medicines (CAM)”.
  • Department of Botany organised an Eductional trip to Mount Abu from October 2-5, 2019. The trip led the students closer to the nature and could learn a lot through the practical experience.
  • Students of department of Journalism and Mass Communication visited Printing Press Shivdaspura Dainik Bhaskar and 94.3 MY FM Jaipur on 6 November 2019.
  • Visit to Herbarium, Department of Botany, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur was organized for the students of M.Sc. Botany on November13, 2019 to give hands on practical training to the students.
  • The Department of BBA organized an Industrial Visit to Kagzi Handmade Paper Industry. The aim of the visit was to blend practical exposure with the theoretical business aspects taught in the classrooms and to generate consciousness about environmental sustainability. The students learnt not only about the manufacturing process of handmade paper, it’s market and market trends.
  • Undergraduate and Post graduate students of Science stream visited the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Mineral Division, Jaipur on February 28, 2020. They had an interactive session with the scientists and had participated in the quiz competition. The visit was a part of the DBT star scheme educational trips.
  • The PG students of physics along with the faculty members visited the Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research Centre, Jaipur on November 13th 2019 they had active interaction with the scientist and saw a live demo of the working of the research labs.

Session 2018-19

  • Faculty of MAJMC: Students participated in the Media Festival "Talk Journalism 2018" organized by the Vox Foundation supported by Google, Facebook and Twitter at Hotel Fairmont, Jaipur from 10th -12thAugust, 2018.
  • A batch of 15 students alongwith Dr. Anu Malhotra from the Faculty of Chemistry attended the KARYA felicitation and Interaction Program at Science Center, Shastri Nagar on 27th August, 2018. The program was organized by DST, Government of Rajasthan. Dr Manish Sharma, IIT Jodhpur spoke about the importance of sand in research and encouraged the students to pursue research whole-heartedly.
  • Faculty of MAJMC: Students visited the World Class Dainik Bhaskar Printing Press, Shivdaspura on 20th November 2018 where they learnt the procedure of drafting and printing the newspaper.
  • Faculty of Geography: Students visited the Birla Planetarium on 27th September 2018 where they gathered the knowledge of stars and planets.
  • Faculty of Philosophy: On 22ndOctober 2018 the students and faculty of Philosophy Faculty visited the Gandhi Studies Center, University of Rajasthan and learned many unknown facts about Gandhi and Kasturba’s life.
  • Faculty of BBA: An industrial visit cum outing for the BBA students was organized on 31st October 2018. The students saw the actual organizational working of Ajmer Zila Utpadak Sahkari Sangh: A Co-operative Organization (Ajmer Dairy). They were also familiarized with the production and marketing operations. This industrial visit was followed by a Fun filled outing to the Birla Water Park at Ajmer.
  • Faculty of English: organized a visit to Jaipur Literature Festival on 22nd& 23rd January 2019 which gives a wide literary exposure to the students and enhances their skills.
  • Faculty of Economics: organized a visit to KAGZI Industry (The Manufacturing and Exporter of handmade paper) on 13th February 2019. More than 100 students of the college visited the factory and learn the process of making handmade papers and paper products. It was a valuable and knowledgeable trip as it develops the awareness of sustainable environment by recycling the waste paper & clothes.
  • Faculty of Psychology: Student went for the educational trip to GVK EMRI 108 on 29th February 2019 where the gathered the information the working of the complete framework of 108 & 104 emergency care services. . GVK IMRI is the major corporate social responsibility arm of GVK that provides integrated emergency response services in Public Private Partnership and responds to millions of emergency and saves lives nationally establishing itself as a premier research and training institute.
  • Faculty of MAJMC: Students visited First India News Channel on 12th March 2019 and gathered the knowledge about the working system of the News Channel. Ms. Manjula Shah from the Channel briefed them about the broadcast system of the instant important news. Students also participated in a training programme on 15th March 2019 organized by Google for stopping the fake news during the elections to maintain the peace and harmony.
