Department was established in 1966.Number of post sanctioned is two and both are filled. One faculty members holds PhD as her highest degree and another is MPhil.

Faculty members participated in 02 National Level seminars and Conferences.

Faculty members are actively involved in research activity at all levels. Dr. Sona Jain is a member of UOR Economics Faculty.

• Department aims to upgrade to PG level in next five years.

• The department aims to apply for major and minor research projects in coming five years.

• Department also plans to hold a State/national conference in coming five years.
