The Department of Computer Science was established in 1996 as PG department with PGDCA as its first course. Later on M. Sc IT, MCA and BCA were introduced gradually. Besides these professional courses department also takes care of B.Sc and    B.Com. Vocational course. Elementary computer application is a compulsory subject at under graduate level all students are introduced to computer skills by the faculty of this department. Number of post sanctioned is twenty six and all are filled with competent faculty. One has PhD as her highest qualification. 

Five computer labs with 210 computers,. LCD, Broadband Internet connection, LAN enabled connections, printers, projector, library with 7205 books.

Faculty member participated in fifteen National/ International Level Conference. The department also organised two National level conferences on IT usage in past two years with AICTE and UGC sponsorship. Number of papers presented by the faculty in various conferences is 40 at national as well as international conferences.

 Department has collaboration with NISCAIR for publishing a Journal entitled “Subodh Journal of Recent Trends in Information Technology”. Having ISSN Number-0975-9875 on Annual Basis.
