College
has sufficient space for the sports activities and various tournaments which are
held here from time to time. Students seeking admission in this college may
participate in these activities for their physical and mental development.
Subodh P.G. College aims at facilitating an overall development of students.
Hence, the college provides Innumerable sports facilities for both indoor and
outdoor games. In this session in the fields of games and sports the performance
of the various teams was excellent and the college was declared winner or runner
up in nine competitions. In badminton, weightlifting and best physique, the
teams were declared as a winner and runner up in cricket, boxing, riflleshooting,
tennis, gymnastic, kabbadi. Twenty-seven players of the college have represented
the college in inter university competitions in various sports. In this session
the physical education department of the college has hosted intercollegiate
cricket and gymnastics competitions successfully.
This year too S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. College
maintained its winning tradition in various inter college and inter University
events. Our college team was declared winner in 6 team events and runner up in
two events. About 32 students participated in various inter university events,
representing University of Rajasthan.
Events where our team stood winner were Table
Tennis, Chess, Badminton, Tennis, Cricket and Weight lifting. Dinesh Makhija
retained the title of Mr. University for consecutive third year.

NSS is a voluntary
activity open to the students of all the facilities
so that they can provide community service to the
socity. The concepts behind NSS are overall
development of students through service. Three NSS
units are functioned in the college.
The college organized
a cultural exchange program on 7th October, 2010. It
was organized under the banner of Ministry of Youth
Affairs and sports, Government of India. The
occasion was graced by Sh Mangi Lal Garasiya,
Minister for Youth Affairs, Ms. Anita Bhartiya-
Zonal Director Nehru Yuva Kendra, Sh. S.S. Joshi,
Director Nehru Yuva Kendra Rajasthan, Sh. Rohit
Kumar Singh- Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports,
Government of Rajasthan Sh Ashok Kewalia, Program
Director NSS State Unit.
Students of Gujarat,
Meghalaya, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and our
own state Rajasthan took whole hearted part in the
festival and presented the viewers with a colourful
glimpse of their respective states.
A seven day camp was
organized at Goshala Durgapura from 21th -27th
December. Tanning regarding organic farming and
gopar gas plant was given to the students. Road
safety week & blood donation camps were also
organized 814 units of blood was collected on 12th
Dec. 2010.

The
college has facility for N.C.C. training relating to
Army, Navy and Air Force Opportunities of army
training through N.C.C. is provided to the students
of the college and every year armed and other forces
(CISF, CRP, Police, Home Guards) organize
recruitment camps etc. where few posts are reserved
for N.C.C. cadets holding C certificate. N.C.C.
cadets get exemption in written examination for the
post of commissioned officers. N.C.C. also aims at
providing free of cost training for firing, rock
climbing, para jumping, mountaineering, tracking and
hand gliding etc. Poor but intelligent cadets get
scholarship through NCC programme.
This year 4 students of our institution have
represented the college in the Republic Day Parade
in New Delhi. |
