Department of Sociology

The Department of Sociology was established in 1966. Number of post sanctioned is two and all are filled. All the members are PhD holders.

Faculty members participated in four National/ International Level seminars and Conferences. Dr. Mukesh Ahuja is member Faculty of Humanities in UOR.

Priority Areas for Research

  • Women Studies.

  • Widowhood and its related social implications.

  • Role adjustment of working women.

  • Criminals and social adjustments.
