From the Principal's Desk
Dear Students,
Every one comes in
this world along with inherent qualities, but to express his
qualities, he needs education. Education is not only a knowledge of
known subjects, but also development of character building,
perfection in logic, power of memory, farsightedness, vision and
decision, power and innovative imagination. With this guideline,
students can stand at their own as a "complete men".
"Life is not a bed of roses". It is full of struggle. In
the struggle to survive we live in…….! I have realised that
struggle counts for the future betterment, but all they need is
proper education which is essential to express your complete
personality, your skill and qualities for the development and
shaping your future.
The
basic purpose of your admission in the college, I believe, is the
importance of practical education. I also believe in complete
education. When you come to S.S.Jain Subodh P.G. College, you'll
find career education is being imparted within the framework of
general education. You will also find a different atmosphere of
teaching method e.g. class-room lectures, audio-visual programmes,
seminars, take home assignments and sessional tests which lead to a
vibrant academic programme.
Our
qualified faculty members will teach you to think logically, judge
critically and communicate clearly. We all want you to gain an
understanding of other cultures also besides a laid emphasis on your
own culture. It's this kind of broad education that helps you to
rise faster in your chosen field, but most of all it helps you to
grow as a compassionate human being and get more out of life.
Students of all streams have to appear in the college internal tests
and examinations regularly and in right earnest. Disciplinary action
is taken against those who show little interest in the academic
programmes or absent themselves from the regular classes. Self
exploration leads to self improvement. Keeping in mind the different
perspectives of today's world and an overall development of the
students teaching methodology and college activities are planned
accordingly.
The college is
introducing BBA course in this session 2008-09 for boys and girls
those who are having good academic record up to XII class.
The
college also introduces various guilds based on the essentials of
personality development and individual excellence. The aim is not to
create a self engrossed individual but to develop a spirit of
teamwork and respect for the abilities of fellow students.
This
college is accredited 'A' by the National Assessment and
Accreditation Council (NAAC) and the Rajasthan State Government
declared this institution as a model college. We have started
a knowledge centre with the financial assistance from
GENPACT and to provide a career opportunity to the students and
E-Learning centre by ICICI.
The
history of the college tells about the various achievements of the
students so I hope you will also be acquiring the same and achieve
success in every sphere of life and carry the legacy ahead . Our
driving force is passion to excel to help you meet your goals. It's
a funny thing about life; if you refuse to accept anything but the
best, you will often get it. We will continue our several for
excellence and pursuit if performance. Tenacity, determination,
persistence and endurance enable each of us it at Subodh to
accomplish our goal and objectives.
I welcome you all seeking
admission in this college in the academic session 2008-2009 and wish
you all the best for your future.

Subodh Shiksha Samiti is running different institutions for boys and
girls in which they can start from play school and can go up to
post-graduation level in various academic subjects including MBA and
MCA
The college has
been providing quality education to the students for the last 54
years. The environment on the college is highly conducive and
congenial for acquiring character, building solid foundation of
knowledge, development of personality, enhancement of creativity etc
through motivation, and other latest techniques.
As far as the
quality education and professional education is concerned, I wish to
state that the relationship between post senior secondary education
and jobs has been a matter of considerable debate and difference of
opinion. In recent years, opinion has moved towards the view that
the primary aim of higher education ought to be to provide training
and skills for the job market. This view is reflected in the
opening of a vast variety of so called colleges of professional
courses. Students are being drawn towards these courses which
promise an easier entry into the job market.
Changes during the
last one or two decades have seen the emergence of i.) technical
education with narrow specializations and with little social/liberal
arts content; ii.) management education that does not require any
particular set of educational qualifications for entry and iii.)
professional education is related only to very specific skills or
job needs.
At the same time,
many changes have occurred in the job market. In the public sector,
the number of available jobs has been reduced drastically. Out of
the available jobs, most of the jobs require candidates with special
skills/training. Power, telecom, civil engineers, architects,
computer specialists etc are being preferred to general
arts/science/commence graduates even for jobs that were earlier
regarded as common jobs i.e. jobs that do not require special skills
as a requisite qualification.
Analytical skills
are imparted in the process of learning all subjects including fine
arts or history or economics. Apart from providing specific subject
knowledge, the process of learning enables students to acquire
analytical and logical ability.
The S.S.Jain
Subodh P.G. College has a combination of traditional academic
courses and professional courses, which are being offered to the
students at both undergraduate and post-graduate level. Our endeavor
is not only to produce quality graduate and post-graduates with
sound knowledge in their chosen field but also very good citizens of
India.
I wish all success to your endeavour.

Message
In the year 1954, Shri
Shwetamber Sthanakwasi Jain Society decided to setup an educational
institution S.S.Jain Subodh College under the aegis of S.S.Jain
Subodh Shiksha Samiti. We are working for quality education in
Rajasthan and running this college with experience, co-operation,
planning, direction and proper leadership. This has resulted in the
continuous progress and development of the college. Now the
curriculum in education need to incorporate education with ethical
standards for the new generation.
The
question now arises whether our quality education is sufficient in
this corporate world or not? What should the institutions teach?
what place should ethics find in their curriculum? I want to tell
our teaching staff and students that we are loosing our Indian
values and ethical standards. In the words of a famous thinker:
"Politics without principles, education without character, science
without humanity, commerce without morality, are not only useless,
but positively dangerous also."
The Kothari Commission
Report for reforming higher education lays the highest education
lays the highest stress on the need for moral and spiritual
education. The seakening of social and moral values in the younger
generationis creating many serious social and ethical conflicts in
western as well as in Indian society. This can only be rectified by
balancing the knowledge and skills which science and technology can
bring with ethical values.
Through the Indian
mythology, I want to tell something to our students: Every man has
three bodies-the gross or physical (sthoola), the subtle (sookshma)
and the casual (kaarana). When the physical body is rendered pure by
taking pure food, the subtle body consisting of the mind is purified
by pure desires, and the casual body represented by the antahkarana
(conscience) is sanctified by sacred thoughts, the inherent divinity
in man can be manifested and fullness in life achieved.
It is essential that
every student should learn and paractice the basic ethical
principles for the blossoming of their true nature. The primary
obligation is to recognize the divinity that is present in each of
them. In the olden days, students used to pray to the Goddess of
Knowledge, Sarswati, to make noble and truthful. Control over the
senses and observance of the accepted code of discipline are the
hallmarks of a cultured man.
We should give due to
place to Indian culture and values. Money that is earned by improper
and immoral ways, can confer neither peace nor happiness. "Young
people take great pains to acquire degrees for securing good jobs.
But they hardly take any trouble to develop their character and
personality. Good conduct and character are the most essential
requisites for a man. They are basis for the spiritual life. If the
spiritual aspect is neglected, man becomes an artificial, mechanical
human being with no genuine human quality in him."
The study of "Indian
Ethos and Values" will be the most distinctive feature in the
college education. The relations between management and employees
should be like those between a mother and the child, based on mutual
love and understanding.
In the end, I assure all
the students that they will get quality education in this college by
out learned, experienced and dedicated faculty members,
I wish good luck for
this session 2008-09.

P.G. College, Jaipur has a glorious history in the path of its
success. Progress is an endless journey of accomplishments so it is
infinite and free from boundaries, as Ravindara Nath Tagore said,
“True end is not in reaching of the limit, but in a completion which
is limit less”. So, success is not an aim but it is a turning of a
page during journey of development, which gives a guideline of
future. Therefore, it can be said that “Success is a journey not a
destination”. Due to progress, achivements and qualities of this
institution, the college is accredited ‘A’ by the National
Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) which is a land mark in
the educational environment of Rajasthan.
The basic premise for development of

to create an environment that fosters sound academics with lasting

college revolve around them. They participate in different
activities and bring laurels to the institution.
