"The Destiny of a nation is decided in its classrooms" – S.S.Jain Subodh P.G. College has proved this prophetic statement with conviction by emerging as one of the premier institutions of higher learning in the state.

The need for quality education has been felt for a long time and a gap exists in the field of purposeful and relevant education that takes into account the ground realities by the professionals in different fields. Realizing the importance of education Shri Shwetamber Sthanakwasi Jain Society decided to setup an educational institution at Jaipur in the year 1954 managed by S.S. Jain Subodh Shiksha Samiti (SSJSSS), Jaipur with an objective of providing education at college level. This college is affiliated to the University of Rajasthan. Although, this Shiksha Samiti is presently running play school to Post-Graduate College alongwith professional courses e.g. Computer Science, Information Technology, Education and Management etc. at prime locations of Jaipur e.g. Ram Bagh Circle, Johri Bazar and Sanganer.  The SSJSSS, Jaipur is having network of around 18000 students who are getting quality education in the present scenario of education. The college has a long standing academic tradition of excellence in higher education. This is coupled with the most advanced facilities for the pursuit of higher learning. This college is accredited ‘A’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It has made a landmark in the educational environment of Rajasthan because S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. College, Jaipur is the first college of Rajasthan, which has been, accredited ‘A’ grade. The College was identified, as a college with Potential for excellence by UGC and it is one among 97 colleges in the country.

The college is well known for its vision, innovation and excellence. The committed efforts of the management and the faculty members have made Subodh P.G. College as the most preferred college by the students of Rajasthan. Upto the session 1992-93, it was a degree college but since 1993-94 session, post-graduate classes have been started. The postgraduate education facility is available in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Applications, Information Technology, EAFM (Commerce) and Political Science subjects and we are also planning to introduce some new P.G. Courses in the coming sessions.

 We are going to start B.B.A. Course from session 2008-09.

The teaching faculty of the college is both experienced and highly talented. Besides, professors and eminent personalities in different subjects for all over India and abroad strengthen the course contents during seminars of National and International level, which are regularly organized in this college. It provides increased exposure and interaction to our students and broaden their horizon and knowledge.

The Campus of S.S.Jain Subodh P.G. College is spacious enough to accommodate various academic and co-curricular activities. It has a stadium with all modern facilities (the only private college of Rajasthan having its own stadium with a pavilion facility for 2000 spectators). On account of the ideal environment of the campus, the state government selected this college as a Model College of Rajasthan in the year 2007. A knowledge Centre has also been established with the help of GENPACT, at the recommendation of the State Government. This year, a job-oriented course of E.Banking has also been started in collaboration with ICICI Bank. Several other innovative plans are in the pipeline.     

This college has the prime objective of providing avenues / opportunities to the students for achieving excellence in quality education and research activities. In this context, it may be mentioned that as the global environment is rapidly changing, influenced by various factors e.g. competitive pressures, dismantling of tariffs and barriers, environmental tariffs and barriers, environmental and regulatory concern, new technologies and businesses, the information technology and communication revolutions. This college has developed inbuilt system of enhancing the research and consultancy with the help and support of rich library, fully equipped laboratories, computers and numerious other teaching aids

These changes bring tremendous challenges as well as opportunities for both the society and the college students. So, the college believes in the importance of practical education. Therefore, soon after 2002, various vocational courses like “Computer Application, Tourism and Travel Management, Advertising, Sales Promotion and Sales Management” were introduced in addition to usual graduation course.
